Dissertation Title: Therapists’ Willingness to Access Client Social media for Suicide Risk Prevention

My name is Jake Vermeersch. My primary area of research is in ethics, particularly surrounding the emerging presence of social media in clinical work and its impact on suicide risk assessment/treatment. I have had the opportunity to work clinically with children, veterans, and individuals with various medical comorbidities, and have recently begun working primarily in psycho-oncology. In my free time, I like to play basketball, hike, relax to a good video game, or catch a movie.
